(a)   The speed limit on 2400 Road from the east city limit to Ullery Road within the city is 35 miles per hour.

(b)   The city public works department or a designee is hereby ordered to install appropriate signage, including “Reduced Speed Ahead” signs pursuant to the requirements of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

(a)   Any person who operates a vehicle in the City of Linn Valley, Kansas in a careless or needless manner that is likely to endanger the lives of persons or that is likely to damage property shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of careless driving.

(b)   Upon a plea of guilty or a finding of guilty by the court, a person who has violated subsection (a) shall be punished by a fine in an amount not less than $10.00 nor more than $500.00 or shall be punished by imprisonment for a period of not less than one day nor more than five days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

(a)   It shall be unlawful to park a semi-tractor with trailer or a semi-trailer without tractor on any street or residential lot located in any area of the city zoned for residential use or in any other area designated by the city except when the vehicle is parked in a completely enclosed garage.

(b)   Upon conviction of a violation of this section, the violator shall be fined a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $500. Each day or portion of a day in violation is deemed to be a separate violation of the section. In addition, the vehicle may be towed by the city and impounded at the expense of the violator.
