Article 3. Livestock and Domestic Fowl
(a) Livestock- Any domestic or wild, of a type customarily raised or kept on farms or other agricultural operations, including but not limited to: horses and other equine; cattle and other bovine; goats, sheep and other ovine; swine; llamas and other carnelids; ostriches, emus and cassowaries; and miniature, dwarf or pygmy variations of the foregoing animals, except that this definition shall explicitly not include dogs and domestic breeds of cats.
(b) Fowl- Any member of the zoological class aves, including but not limited to chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas, and pigeons.
(c) Tract of Land- A single contiguous area of land with fixed boundaries as described in the records of the Register of Deeds of Linn County, Kansas, owned individually or jointly by one or more persons or entities under a single deed and not divided by any public or private road.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to maintain or keep Livestock or Fowl within the corporate limits of the city of Linn Valley, except as permitted below:
(1) This section shall not apply to any Tract of Land of 3 acres or more upon which are kept or maintained 4 or fewer animals described as Livestock or Fowl above.
(2) One additional animal described as Livestock or Fowl shall be permitted for each acre over 3 acres included in a single Tract of Land.
(b) No person shall permit any Livestock or fowl to run at large within the city limits.

Any person convicted of the violation of any provision of this articles declared to be an unlawful act, or who fails or neglects any other duty required by this article, shall, on conviction thereof, be fined up to One Hundred Dollars for each violation. Each day of violation shall be to be a separate violation.
